Comment to win free tickets for your organization at JazzFest! Accessible seating available.

Jazz Fest is here again!  We’ve scored tickets and we’re sharing them with you, our amazing readers. We’re super excited for a fun evening of Betty Lavette’s classic sultry notes with our lucky Inclusion winners!

There are 12 tickets available. They are being raffled off in pairs so you can bring a friend, colleague, or person supported by your organization. 3 seats will be wheelchair accessible so if you do win, please request them as your organization needs them.

How do I enter my organization you say? Leave a comment! If you comment on our Inclusion Facebook page you’ll receive an extra entry. Winners will be selected using a random number generator.

Comments will close June 13 @ 5 pm. We’ll announce the winners by 10 am, Friday morning and give you the weekend to find people in your organization interested in going, arrange transportation, etc.

Tell us about a favorite concert memory, Winnipeg summer festival moment, etc.  Good luck and happy commenting!

four × five =

  1. The individuals I support love all things music. At Festivals, they are the first up dancing. This helps others lose their inhibitions and get out of their seats to dance.

  2. Favorite moment: watching kids having a blast at outdoor Fringe Fest in Old Market Square – so much joy in their eyes!

  3. Best Winnipeg concert memory… smoke machine setting off the West End’s fire systems and having the Blue Sky Addicts finish their show in an empty lot next door using a Bobcat as a stage

  4. Favourite concert memory? I have a lot, but I had great time at last years opening weekend at the Cube. I particularly enjoyed Royal Canoe’s set (especially when they covered “No Diggity” by Blackstreet). I’m looking forward to seeing them again this Saturday.

Inclusion System extends our profound respect and immeasurable gratitude to all the ancestors and keepers of the land on whose traditional territories our work takes place. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. This land is sacred, historical, and significant.

Every time we acknowledge this truth, we have an invitation and an opportunity to reflect on the wrongs of the past, what we do in the present, and what we can do to continually honour the people whose lands and water we benefit from today.

This statement only acts as a first step in honouring the land we reside on and its peoples, and must be paired with education, understanding and informed action.
