The most important factor in selecting who gets the job

In general, when selecting who gets the job, great leaders select based on the things that are the hardest to change in people. While technical skills and knowledge are important, given the choice between an employee with a great attitude who has obvious ability to learn the job and someone who already has the skills and experience to do the job but has a questionable attitude, great leaders will always choose the former.
Great leaders know that a person’s character is the hardest thing to change. Great leaders also know that character is the most important factor in selecting other leaders.
