New in the Inclusion System: Shift Bidding

So you’re creating your new schedule and you notice you have a bit too many vacant shifts. Now you could send out a notice to your employees and see who’d like to pick up some shifts. You could even hand these vacant shifts over to Shiftshark and let him send the messages for you. Both these approaches seem fine and dandy, but what if there was another way..?

Ladies and gentlemen, fresh from Inclusion System is a new and different approach to filling vacant shifts. Allow us to Introduce Shift Bidding!

Shift Bidding is an enhancement to Scheduling that aims to make filling those vacant shifts a little easier.

As a schedule is built, vacant shifts can be opened in Shift Bidding for “auction” to your employees who can then make a ‘bid’ indicating their availability to work. Once you’ve received the bids, schedulers can review each one and choose the winning “bid” that will be assigned the shift. Your schedules will be automatically updated for you throughout the entire process.

While Shift Bidding is currently in beta, we just couldn’t wait to share it with you! If you are interested in seeing a demo and perhaps testing Shift Bidding with us, let us know! Call us at 1-866-884-3451, or send us an email at includables@inclusionsystem.ca

Inclusion System extends our profound respect and immeasurable gratitude to all the ancestors and keepers of the land on whose traditional territories our work takes place. We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. This land is sacred, historical, and significant.

Every time we acknowledge this truth, we have an invitation and an opportunity to reflect on the wrongs of the past, what we do in the present, and what we can do to continually honour the people whose lands and water we benefit from today.

This statement only acts as a first step in honouring the land we reside on and its peoples, and must be paired with education, understanding and informed action.
